” Way Down” takes the listener on a tonal adventure that taps into the deep underlying groove of the song. There are three main guitar tracks that drive the arrangement: Subtle Alt-Country licks fly throughout the tune. A finger-picked acoustic guitar plays the main theme during the verses and then power strums the choruses. It’s all topped off with a soft soulful bottleneck slide filling the gaps. An electric piano helps to round out the soulful core.
